Namesky: NEAR Account Redemption

NameSky lets the owner of an account NFT reclaim the attached NEAR account by redeeming and burning the NFT. The redemption call supplies a public key for access to the reclaimed account.

Redemption inputs and account access

The NameSky SDK documents account redemption through coreContract.nftRedeem , called from a NameSky instance initialized with a signer. The method takes tokenId and publicKey .

The token ID selects the account NFT. The SDK illustrates this with the attached NEAR account ID. The public key specifies access to the reclaimed account; the documented call shows an Ed25519 public key.

NFT ownership and the supplied public key have different roles. Ownership determines whose account NFT is being redeemed, while the public key concerns access to the underlying account after redemption. A successful redemption burns the NFT and returns account control.

Redemption and marketplace cancellation

The SDK separates account redemption from cancelling a sale listing or a purchase offer. Each operation targets a particular account NFT, but only redemption takes the account back.
